Let me
guess.

You’ve worked in your role for a while now. You’re good at your job. You know your shit.
You’re working long hours, perhaps more than you’d like to admit.
You take on extra responsibilities and struggle to say “no” because you’re extremely “accommodating”, a “team player” and continue to “go above and beyond”.
(if you’re anything like I was, this was also driven by a crippling fear of judgement and rejection - so fun!)
Perhaps you’ve asked for more resources or additional support, but it’s never prioritised.
Perhaps you’re longing to be seen as a leader in your office and speak confidently and assertively to your peers.
Perhaps you’ve considered scheduling a conversation with your boss to talk about your long awaited compensation package. But, your fear of conflict gets the best of you and you decide, once again, it’s “not really that important”.
So, you don’t speak up. You don’t advocate for your needs.
You feel invisible and unsupported.
You notice feelings of frustration, resentment and burn out.
But, you don’t have the tools on how to have these difficult conversations and speak up for yourself. It all seems overwhelming and too intimidating.
So, you stay silent.
And overtime, you start to believe that being a confident speaker and assertive leader is impossible for you.
But, let me tell you, with absolute certainty.
THIS IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU.

How do I know this?
Because that was me.
The year was 2018. I was studying a Double Bachelors in Law and Chinese Language and Culture, working as an Administrative Assistant in Real Estate and teaching Speech & Drama in local schools.
This was a time in my life when everyone would describe me as “confident”, “outgoing” and “intelligent”. Yet, I was highly insecure, constantly seeking validation and terrified of judgement. I so desperately wanted to speak up and be “a leader” in my workplace but was always worried about my colleagues' reactions. I started to believe my voice wasn’t as important as others.

In summary, you could diagnose me with…

Fast forward to 2023

“I’m a confident person, except when it comes to speaking up”
“This might sound silly, but…”
“It’s so hard to say no”
“Does that make sense?”
“I hate conflict”
“I often don’t feel good enough”
“I always feel like I’m letting someone down”
Is this you?

What People Are
Saying

Hey, my love,
I’m Annelise, a Women’s Speaking Coach who empowers women to master communication skills to speak up and be heard.
I grew up with a lisp, crippling social anxiety and a very real fear of speaking.
Fast forward to today and, truth be told, I’m an absolute speaking nerd.
I was trained in Public Speaking for over 15 years, gained my certification as a Public Speaking Coach in 2016 (Dip ASCA) and have presented on state, national and international stages. I am also a Law graduate (LLB) and have a Bachelor of Chinese Language and Culture. Fun fact, I ranked 5th in the world at the World Championships for Debating & Public Speaking (WIDPSC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
(See, I told you I’m a speaking nerd!)
Formalities out of the way, here’s a little bit about me.
I know what it’s like to struggle with self-confidence.
For years I struggled to have a healthy and compassionate relationship with myself and was caught in a toxic loop of self-criticism and perfectionism.
But, more than anything, I know what it’s like to fear speaking up.
To struggle articulating your boundaries. To feel like you’re not seen or heard by your colleagues. To want to make an impact in your career and become a bold and confident speaker.
Bottom line - you deserve to love yourself, to love your voice and to feel worthy of being heard.
This is not only something you deserve, but something that is possible for you.
I want to help you step into your power, feel confident in your abilities, and become the bold and confident speaker you've always wanted to be.
So if you're ready to become the best version of yourself and become the leader you’ve always desired, I'm here to help. Let's make it happen!
